Do you know how to keep your mind fit and healthy? We all want to be the sharpest tool in the box but that takes time and effort. You do not become healthy overnight but there are several things you can do to make sure your mind stays alert, healthy and active.
EAT: Just like your body, your mind will benefit if you eat fresh, healthy foods. Make sure you are eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats. Try to reduce the amount of fake sugars and preservatives you consume. Drink plenty of water and eliminate diet drinks and sodas. Focus on what you need to add to your diet and that will bring needed nutrients to your brain. Taking a multivitamin for extra protection is not a bad idea.
MOVE: Exercise at least three times a week. If you can exercise daily, that’s even better. The human brain needs plenty of oxygenated blood and when you perform aerobic exercises like walking, jogging or swimming, you will be sending that brain what it needs.
SLEEP: In our busy lives, people often skimp on sleep or have unsteady sleep patterns. Maybe you pull all-nighters. Maybe you sleep five hours every week night but sleep in on the weekends. Maintain a consistent sleep hygiene schedule. Try to wake up and go to bed at the same time every single day. Wind down at night by turning off all electronics and gadgets. The light emitted from technology can keep the human mind awake and alert. Keep your bedroom cool, dark and quiet. Your brain must have adequate rest to perform at its top level. It must enter all sleep phases in order for you to wake feeling refreshed.
SOCIALIZE: Make sure you are keeping up communication and activities with friends and family. Getting together and socializing keeps your mind healthy and alert. You will be partaking in conversation which means you will be talking, listening and thinking. All of those things are important to keep your mind fit and active.
LEARN: It is a proven fact that when we learn something new—no matter how old we are—we create new neural connections in our brain. The neurons you have will branch out in different directions as you struggle to learn something new. The concentration, thoughts and challenge of learning something fresh and brand-new keeps your mind energetic.
PLAY: Laughter is the best medicine. When you laugh, you release endorphins into your bloodstream. These chemicals are feel-good and are also released through exercise. When you are laughing while watching a movie, reading a book or talking to a friend, you are creating happy memories and allowing endorphins to wash over your body. When the body is feeling good, the mind is also—and vice versa.
DON’T WORRY: Fretting and worrying about problems that may come up or have already come up does not change them. It is often said that the past is just a memory and the future is just an idea. The only thing that matters right now is the present. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t plan for the future or make goals. Constant worrying is counterproductive and releases stress hormones that are aging to both mind and body.
BREATHE DEEPLY: When you need to relax, breathing in deeply will help to calm you. You can do deep breathing anywhere—at work, in the car or at home. Breathe in through your nose, down to your abdomen and to your tailbone. Picture the air going into your body. Exhale through your mouth. If you do this a few times in the morning and at night, you will help your mind remain clear and focused.
Any successful person, regardless of their field of endeavor is someone who has learned to create and keep good habits. Do they sometimes fall off the wagon, so to speak? Of course, and they’ll be the first to admit it. However, they also are masters at keeping those moments to a bare minimum. Follow along as we show you some useful tips on how to create and hopefully maintain good habits.
The very first thing you want to do is put in writing (not up in the ol’ noggin) what your goals and dreams are. This will go a long way in helping to create good habits because you will also be writing down what it will take to achieve those dreams and goals. These habits must also be written down and looked at constantly. And there must be certain habits for each individual goal and dream.
Another very important thing. Find out what your best time of day is for whatever it is that you plan on doing, be it exercising, writing, whatever. Why is that you say? Well, it’s simple; once you know when you are at your peak regarding certain things, it will be far easier to maintain the good habits necessary to achieve whatever it is you’re after.
You also want to from time to time go over how your good habits are coming along. Sure, you should know that they are beneficial to you, but ask yourself, are they achieving the desired results? If not, then perhaps you need to either practice them more diligently or maybe even discard them for some even better habits.
This next one is an absolute must. In order to create and keep good habits, you will need iron-clad steel-willed self-discipline. No successful person from any walk of life has ever gotten to where they are without having solid self-discipline to go along with good habits.
And last but certainly not least; do not be afraid to seek help in creating good habits. An excellent way to go about this is to talk to others who have the same goals as you do. Ask them what habits work for them and better yet, ask how they are able to maintain these habits. And there are also plenty of courses out there, be they on CD, DVD or in book form that will give you solid useful information on how to create and keep good habits.
Most people are aware how important their appearance is as well as how articulate they are when communicating with others. But, often overlooked is the role body language plays in interacting with other people. It is hoped that by reading this article, you will come to understand the need for good body language and how to incorporate it into your day to day life.
While there is no doubt that the spoken word says volumes, so too does your body language. In fact, some experts think that it sometimes goes even further than verbal skill. One thing is for sure; your means of nonverbal communicating need to be on par with your speaking. That being said, let’s get started with how to shore up your body language.
First up, it helps to practice proper body language when you are alone and preferably in front of a full-length mirror.
While in front of the mirror in a standing position, make sure both of your feet are side by side and at a width slightly wider than your shoulders. Square your hips and lean just a little bit forward. Keep a steady gaze and practice breathing deeply. The art of knowing how to breathe properly is essential if you hope to be successful at anything in life.
Another thing that will go a long way in helping you to perfect or at least greatly improve your body language is to watch footage of famous and successful people when they are doing their thing. Whether it is addressing a crowd of people or a small group of business associates or their peers, observe everything you can about their body language. Their posture, the way they look at their audience and so forth. This is one of the best ways to learn proper body language.
And eye contact is ever so important. Make sure that whoever you are speaking to, that you look them directly in the eye for no less than two seconds. Granted, you don’t want to turn it into a stare that’s so long they’re wondering if it’s a glare. But you get the point. At least two seconds but not too much longer.
Also, when you first begin addressing someone, try to begin with a smile, but only in the beginning. No need to hold it for too long, especially if what you are trying to get across is of a serious nature. And last but not least, always exude confidence. Look confident, speak confidently and be confident about yourself. Follow these tips and add them to speaking and dressing right for the occasion and you’ll be in good shape.

If you’re looking for an article that’s focused on giving you the most effective mind control techniques and examples out there, this is the right article for you. As a child I was very interested in learning about mind control. I’ve seen it on TV, I seen in relationships and I’ve seen it done to people during their everyday jobs. Mind control is always happening around you. After a long time learning and studying mind control techniques in my day-to-day life. I’ve started to pick up a lot of examples and ways of actually controlling someone’s mind completely. In this article, I want to give you tips and some examples of mind control.
The first way to actually control someone’s mind completely is by advertising something to them. This, in reality, is probably the most popular way of actually controlling someone’s mind and will. This gets them to do something and can be used for evil or good. Depending upon what you’re looking for. Personally, try to stay away from the bad uses but that’s not the point of this article, so let’s get back on topic.
Mind control using advertisement is actually a part of a social norm in today’s society. You know your favorite commercial with that good looking woman flicking her hair and half naked telling you about that random product you can’t get out of your head? That, my friend is a form of mind control. This captures your attention by using the sexy woman as leverage to get your attention on the product. This ultimately anchors your interest in the woman with the product being sold thus leading you to buy the product.
Edward Bernays, the investor of consumerist culture, was a very big fan of advertisements because what it actually did was target people’s complete self-image (or lack of) and target it’s weak points. That’s what they call good advertisement. What this does is create a hole in the consumer like they were missing something and gives them the quick solution to full that hole. The funny thing is that many people today do not even understand that their minds are completely controlled by everyday advertisements. A lot of them are very unconscious to the fact that their choices and lifestyle are complete byproducts of mind control. Scary isn’t it?
Group influences such as sports, politics, and religion are also forms of mind control. One of the most popular ones are cults. The only real difference of a cult in most people’s eyes is the negative association that they bring out in memory anchors. In reality, most people are trapped in cults like it or not. The main basis of this form of mind control is to short-circuit the survival part of their brain and teach them to actually form a team or group for survival. This leads into a dependency upon the group or team and then making the person become bond stronger with the group in question and become more needy towards its existent.
